SiterJabbor exists to help people find real reviews before they trust any website. These guidelines apply to everyone who writes a review on our platform, and to businesses listed on it. By posting a review you also agree to our Terms of Use.
1. Why reviews matter
Honest reviews protect people from scams and help good businesses stand out. Every review on SiterJabbor should help another person make a better, safer decision online.
2. Who can write a review
Anyone aged 13 or over who has had a genuine experience with a website, product or service in the last 12 months can write a review. That experience could be a purchase, a subscription, a booking, a support conversation or even an attempted purchase.
3. Writing a helpful review
Do
- Describe your own, first-hand experience
- Be specific: what you bought, what happened and when
- Mention both the good and the bad
- Keep it factual, fair and respectful
- Update your review if the business fixes a problem
Don’t
- Review something you haven’t used
- Post the same review more than once
- Use offensive language or personal attacks
- Share personal details such as phone numbers, addresses or order IDs
- Include links, promo codes or adverts
4. What isn’t allowed
We remove reviews that include any of the following:
- Fake reviews: reviews that don’t reflect a genuine experience, including reviews written by bots or for someone else
- Conflicts of interest: reviews of a business you own, work for, are related to, or compete with
- Undisclosed incentives: reviews written in exchange for money, discounts, free products or other rewards, unless clearly disclosed
- Harmful content: hate speech, harassment, threats, discrimination or sexually explicit material
- Private information: anyone’s personal or contact details
- Illegal content: anything that is unlawful, defamatory or infringes someone else’s rights, including copyrighted text or images
- Spam: advertising, links, irrelevant content or repeated posts
5. Guidelines for businesses
Businesses listed on SiterJabbor must not:
- Write reviews of their own business or ask staff, friends or family to do so
- Buy reviews, or offer rewards only in exchange for positive reviews
- Invite only happy customers to review (“review gating”)
- Pressure or threaten customers to change or remove a review
Businesses are welcome to invite all customers to share honest feedback, and to contact us if they believe a review breaks these guidelines.
6. Our editorial reviews & scores
Alongside community reviews, the SiterJabbor editorial team publishes its own reviews. These are based on each product’s published features, pricing, policies and our research, and give a score out of 10 with what we like, what to consider and our verdict.
We may earn a commission when you visit a brand through our links. This can affect where some listings appear, but it never changes the pros, cons or verdict in our reviews, and brands cannot pay to change a review or score.
7. Moderation & reporting
We check reviews against these guidelines using a mix of automated tools and human moderators. We don’t remove reviews just because they are negative or critical.
If you think a review breaks these guidelines, report it to us with a link to the review and a short explanation. We look into every report and may ask the reviewer for proof of their experience.
8. What happens if rules are broken
Depending on the issue, we may remove the review, hide a rating, restrict an account from posting, or show a warning on a business’s listing if we find evidence of fake or manipulated reviews.
